Offline privacy tool for Windows

Your photo is telling
people your name, number
and where you live.

Hover a bar to reveal it

SnapHide reads the image, finds the things that identify you — ID numbers, phone numbers, faces, number plates, GPS coordinates — and removes them permanently. It runs entirely on your computer. Nothing is uploaded. There is no server to trust.

Fig. 01 — Scan result

This is what one photo of an ID card gives away.

SnapHide reads the text in the image, checks each number against the real validation rules, and shows you what it found before it changes anything. Hover any black bar to reveal it.

FoundRiskValue in imageAction
Aadhaar number Critical 2345 6789 0124 Black box

A random 12-digit number is not an Aadhaar. SnapHide validates every number against its real checksum before flagging it, so your invoice numbers and order IDs don't get redacted by mistake.
Fig. 02 — The problem

Most redaction tools don't actually redact.

Failure 01

Blur can be undone

A Gaussian blur is a reversible mathematical operation. If the radius is known — and it usually is — the original can be reconstructed.

Failure 02

Pixelation can be undone

Pixelation is brute-forceable. Render every candidate string, pixelate it the same way, compare. Published attacks recover pixelated text reliably.

Failure 03

The original stays inside

Many editors leave an un-redacted copy in the file's hidden thumbnail data. The black bars are on the picture, not in the file.

SnapHide tells you which effects are actually safe. Blur and pixelate are labelled reversible. Black box and noise are permanent. We are the only tool that admits the difference — and it removes the hidden thumbnail on every export.

Everything you need to make a photo safe to share.

Detect

Reads Indian IDs

Aadhaar, PAN, GSTIN, passport, bank account and UPI — found and validated, not just pattern-matched. A random 12-digit number is not mistaken for an Aadhaar.

Detect

Faces, every angle

Front, profile, tilted, masked, small or in poor light. Replaces the old frontal-only detector entirely.

Detect

Contact & vehicles

Mobile numbers, emails, OTP codes, payment cards checked with Luhn, and Indian number plates across every state.

Redact

Four ways, honestly labelled

Black box and noise are permanent. Blur and pixelate are reversible — and SnapHide is the only tool that warns you before you save one.

Protect

Strips hidden data

Location, device, timestamp and the embedded thumbnail that can still hold the original un-redacted image. Gone on every export.

Private

Never leaves your PC

Every model runs on your machine. No upload, no account, no server. Unplug the internet and it all still works.
